Saw the picture [link] made by the-metalchemist and thought it was a cool shape. Initially I just wanted to create the model, but since I have very basic skills with texturing and setting up the lighting I decided to practice my skills. I'm quite satisfied with the result, or at least this is as good as it's gonna get with my current skill.

did you put micro bevels on the edges of the detail jigsaw bit? That would really help.

I can't really recall if I did or not, but either way it's not something I'm going to correct unless I redo the entire thing. So probably not for quite a while :)

Ok, would recommend it for future projects though. Really helps it to pop!

Will you please just render it in V-ray.

...And no more excuses, just use the v-ray scene converter.

No, if I have to render it in v-ray I want to redo the texture and I don't have the time for that atm :)

Wow, very nicely done! Looking at the smaller image I was really confused, thinking "didn't I just see this in some other guy's account?" Excellent!

Very impressive detail! It is hard to tell the difference between the real maze and your CG maze. It would be cool if you could animate it so that you could navigate the maze.

Bottom Line: Thank you very much. +Fav
